Pastor John Futterer came to Kimball Memorial in September, 2016. He is a native of North Carolina, a graduate of UNC Charlotte and the Divinity School of Duke University and he returns to Kimball Church having served here as an associate pastor from 1986-1989. Pastor John is married to Anne…they have a grown daughter living in Pennsylvania, and a Basset Hound and two cats who live with them! Pastor Futterer loves preaching and teaching and working with youth…and is also pretty passionate about sports – of all kinds! He feels particularly blessed to be back at a congregation he loves and is enjoying this wonderful ministry very much.
Liz Fisher joined the staff of Kimball as Director of Faith Forming Ministries in February, 2010. She is a Kannapolis native and grew up in our congregation. She attended UNC Charlotte and has a BA in English Literature and attended Luther Seminary where she received her Master of Arts in Religion. Liz is a rostered leader in the ELCA as a Minister of Word and Service with the NC Synod. Liz has a fun personality and serves our congregation as the Minister of Faith Formation. Liz plans and coordinates activities across the full range of ages, and is particularly active with our youth and the NC Synod Council as well as with the ELCA Youth Gathering. She believes that we serve our community by being involved in service and fellowship. Liz has a 16 year old pet turtle in her office named Squirt as well as a puppy at home, named Dutch. We are blessed to have such a faithful, committed servant who loves her call with our congregation.
Keith Sutton joined the staff at Kimball in September, 2023. Keith brings 16 years of experience in church administration after serving at two other congregations. He also has a degree in accounting and a NC Teaching Certificate in Business Education. Keith enjoys meeting members and striving to be a good steward of church resources and keeping the congregation informed.
