High School / Middle School Youth
HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH
will meet on Sunday, August 24th at Deacon Liz's home for a time of fun and fellowship around the pool. The event is from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, with homemade ice cream being served. Youth will also be preparing meals for Samaritan's Table on August 14th, and at the Night Shelter on August 20th...parents are asked to call/text Deacon Liz or Pastor John if your young person is interested and able to serve on either of these dates. Thank you!

Thursday August 21st from 1:30-3:30 in the fellowship all. Please join us for a movie afternoon in the fellowship hall filled with popcorn and snacks. We will be watching the movie Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Spy, Assassin.
Plot: As the world teeters on the brink of annihilation, Dietrich Bonhoeffer is swept into the epicenter of a deadly plot to assassinate Hitler. With his faith and fate at stake, Bonhoeffer must choose between upholding his moral convictions or risking it all to save millions of Jews from genocide. Will his shift from preaching peace to plotting murder alter the course of history or cost him everything?
Kimball Baseball Night
SIGN-UPS BEGIN ON SUNDAY for our annual trip to the Ballgame - Kimball Baseball Night is Saturday evening, August 30th this year - game time is 7:00 PM. The cost of tickets is $20 per person, and this includes your ticket and a picnic supper at the game (hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the trimmings). All ages are welcome - the deadline for sign-ups is Sunday, August 24th. Inserts are in this morning's bulletin - if you have any questions, please call the Church Office or Ben Hesley (864-764-0513)
Adult Beach Trip
November 12-14
All rooms at The Beach Cove Resort are oceanfront. Amenities include indoor and outdoor heated pools, a weight room, and a kitchenette with refrigerator. Each room has two queen beds. Check-in is 4:00 pm Wednesday and checkout is 11:00 am on Friday.
The price includes two breakfasts and dinners at the Original Benjamin’s and Chuck’s Steak House. Additionally, we will enjoy two shows: The Carolina Opry and the Legends Theatre. Note: The annual Christmas Craft Show is also that week.
Cost is $280 per person with double occupancy. If desired, you can pay in three payments with the first due on June 15. Checks should be written to KMLC Pastor's Discretionary Fund designated for Adult Beach Trip or dropped by the church office. Emergency cancellations can be made until October 6. So, choose your roommate and sign up today in the Narthex or Commons!
