YOUTH DINNER AND HEALTH KIT SERVICE PROJECT High school and middle school youth are invited to join us for dinner and a hands-on service project on September 20th at 4:00 pm! Together, we will pack health kits for people in need while enjoying food, fellowship, and time together.
THE FIRST CONFIRMATION CLASS of this year will be held this afternoon at Kimball Memorial from 2:30 - 4:00, as we begin our work with the Apostles' Creed. In addition to Kimball Memorial, other participating Lutheran churches in our Confirmation Cooperative Group are: First Lutheran Church in Albemarle, St. John's Lutheran Church in Concord, St. Martin Lutheran Church in Concord, and St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Albemarle. This year in Confirmation class our students will be studying about the Apostles' Creed, Holy Baptism, Holy Communion, and Christian Values and Justice. We appreciate our parents and grandparents who make sure that their children and grandchildren are learning about the Lutheran Church and our beliefs and practices.

All women are warmly invited to join us on Sundays at 4:00pm for a Bible study based on Liz Curtis Higgs’ book Bad Girls of the Bible. Together we’ll dive into the stories of some of Scripture’s “bad girls” and see how God’s grace meets us.
This study will be led by Mary Lee Blackwelder and is open to women of all ages who want to grow closer to God in a fun, relaxed, and welcoming setting. The book Bad Girls of the Bible is available on Amazon or wherever you get your favorite reads.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS for a brunch honoring clergy milestones in our congregation, upcoming on Sunday morning, September 20th at 10:00. We'll welcome Kimball Memorial friends Richard and Shirly Graf back to be with us on that Sunday morning. Pastor Graf will be preaching at both the 8:30 and 11:00 Worship Services. We hope you'll join us!
